Our area is rich in visual, performing, musical, culinary, literary, and natural arts. We foster a lively cultural center. This hub not only creates recreational and economic activities for our hometown community members, but also makes Williamsport and the surrounding region an attractive destination for visitors and tourists.

Williamsport, located at the heart of central Pennsylvania, is quickly becoming a historical and cultural center for the arts. On the First Friday of every month, businesses keep their doors open late to host local artists, bands, and art events of all kinds. The goal of First Friday is to celebrate the arts while promoting local artists, and fostering Williamsport’s reputation as the Northern Tier’s regional cultural center. First Friday imbues Williamsport with the joy and beauty of the arts.
Lycoming Arts receives state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Williamsport is quickly becoming a historic and cultural center for the arts in central Pennsylvania.
