JOSHUA BUTLER is an Emmy-Award winning filmmaker and one of the most prolific writers and directors of his generation. Joshua wrote and directed VLOG for the producers of Saw; produced and directed acclaimed LGBTQ+ short films House Not Home and Something More; and has directed episodes of Syfy's The Magicians, FOX's The Following starring Kevin Bacon, CW’s The Vampire Diaries, Freeform's Pretty Little Liars, CBS’ Limitless, El Rey’s Matador and State of Affairs for NBC. He also wrote and directed the streaming horror series Red Rooms and directed the Lifetime thrillers My Child Has My Doctor’s Face and Secret Life of the Dean’s Wife.

Ray Izad-Mehr

Filmmaker & Producer, Ozon Film Group

Ray Izad-Mehr is a multiple award-winning filmmaker and producer with more than thirty years of experience across the international film, television, and media industries. He began his career at Universal Pictures Marketing, then worked in National Promotions at Sin-Drome Records and at the William Morris Agency (now WME), before joining the Television Development Team for director John Landis on several Cable TV productions. After earning his BA in Film Production with a minor in Marketing from California State University, Northridge, he founded Ozon Films in 1999 and has since produced over 120 projects, including the award-winning feature Guillotine, the horror feature Black Pumpkin, and the Lionsgate-released documentary Through My Father’s Eyes.  A longtime managing executive at Castaic Studios, he is deeply committed to international co-productions and educational exchange between Los Angeles and Europe, and is currently in advanced development on the elevated Frankenstein re-imagining Monster Is Man, the international series Sinbad: Lord of the 7 Seas while writing his next feature OON (Her), an elevated psychological horror set in modern Los Angeles and 1980’s Iran.

From 2001–2008, Russell Schwartz served as President of Theatrical Marketing at New Line Cinema, overseeing all of the company’s marketing efforts, which resulted in over 44 Academy Award nominations and billions of dollars at the domestic box office; his campaigns included films such as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hairspray, Wedding Crashers, Elf, Rush Hour 2 and 3, The Notebook, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, About Schmidt and Little Children. He later served as President of Worldwide Marketing at Relativity Media, overseeing a slate that included The Family, Don Jon and Beyond the Lights; President of USA Films, which released Traffic, Nurse Betty, Topsy Turvy, Being John Malkovich and Pitch Black; and President of Gramercy Pictures, where he oversaw the marketing of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Fargo, The Usual Suspects, Elizabeth, The Big Lebowski, Dazed and Confused, Dead Man Walking and many others. Russell has been President of Pandemic Marketing Corp since its inception in 2008, providing strategic marketing, theatrical distribution, ancillary placement solutions and digital execution for the motion picture industry. Russell is a member of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and also an ongoing juror for the Student Academy Awards.

Sara Vahabi is a Los Angeles-based international film publicist and Awards Strategist with over 20 years of experience in special events, red carpets and public relations, with extensive experience in both Europe and the US. In 2010 she joined KAREN FRIED & ASSOCIATES (KFA), becoming part of the core publicity team garnering over 40 Oscar nominations and another 25 wins for such films as The Theory of Everything, Dallas Buyers Club, The Danish Girl, Kubo and the Two Strings, Nocturnal Animals and Loving, later being promoted to Vice President and working with Focus Features and Annapurna as key clients while spearheading international and short film awards campaigns for Helium, A Man Called Ove, Mustang, Timbuktu, The Insult and more. In 2018 Sara launched PHASE 2 PUBLIC RELATIONS with Netflix as its premiere client, working on its international and domestic film slate, including Train Dreams, Frankenstein, Left-Handed Girl, Society of the Snow, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Hand of God, Prayers for the Stolen, Girl and Roma, and expanded the roster to include B-REEL FILMS, Sola Media and the ACLU of Southern California, as well as campaigns for the international submissions And Then We Danced and Beanpole, and Emmy campaigns for HBO’s Euphoria and FX's Love Story. Born in Sweden and raised in Germany, Sara received her degree in International Relations from Tufts University in Boston and is fluent in Swedish, Farsi, German, English and conversational French.
