Kenneth Cobb

OUR ART SHOWCASE JUROR FOR THIS YEAR

Kenneth P. Cobb

Kenneth P. Cobb is an accomplished painter, educator, and working artist based in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. With a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary practices, Cobb brings a thoughtful, disciplined perspective to the jurying process—one rooted in technical skill, visual clarity, and a deep respect for artistic intent.

Cobb holds a BFA in Painting and Computer Art from Bowling Green State University and an MFA in Studio Art from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches drawing, painting, design, and gallery management.

As an artist, Cobb specializes in traditional oil painting techniques, with a body of work that explores still life, landscape, and portraiture. His practice reflects a commitment to observation, craftsmanship, and the enduring relevance of representational art. In addition to his studio work, he is an experienced portrait artist working in oil, charcoal, and pastel.

Cobb’s work has been recognized with numerous awards, including multiple First Place honors and Best of Show distinctions in regional and national juried exhibitions. These accolades reflect both technical excellence and a consistent ability to communicate through visual form.

As juror for the 2026 Lycoming Arts Juried Art Showcase, Cobb brings a balanced perspective shaped by his experience as both a practicing artist and educator. His approach values strong composition, technical proficiency, and authenticity of vision—qualities that help define compelling and lasting work.
