Our Juror for the 2025 Lycoming Arts Ways Garden Art Competition

Alan Zerbe

Lycoming Arts is proud to announce Alan Zerbe as the 2025 Ways Garden Art Competition judge. With over three decades of experience in the creative industry, Alan brings a remarkable blend of artistic vision, professional insight, and a deep commitment to visual storytelling.

Throughout his distinguished career, Alan has helped shape some of America’s most iconic brands, including Villanova University, Crayola, Corning, CoverGirl, DeWalt Tools, Hershey’s, Mack Trucks, and United Way. His work as an art director and creative director has earned national acclaim, with honors from the Addy Awards, Art Directors Club, American Graphic Design Awards, and HOW Magazine.

As former Creative Director at SWB&R—a nationally recognized advertising agency in the Lehigh Valley—Alan led innovative marketing campaigns that pushed the boundaries of creativity. He now serves as the Art Director at Villanova University, where his work continues to inspire through bold design and mentorship.

Alan honed his craft through the Get Your Masters with the Master's MFA program at Marywood College, a unique program that connects emerging artists with industry leaders. This solid educational foundation, combined with his extensive professional experience, shapes the thoughtful and discerning eye he brings to the judging process.
